In an effort to not miss any opportunity to eat, drink and be merry, we are pulling together a calendar of some of the tastiest goings-on in our area.

We are auspiciously blessed to have as many craft breweries as malls in our neck of the woods. So, come this weekend, instead of heading to the mall to pick out yet another necktie for dear old Dad, hightail it to one of our local breweries for a gift for your beer-loving Pop.
Attendees were able to meet the chefs and brewers who were happy to chat about their craft. The rustic setting of the barn at the Topping Rose House provided the ideal backdrop to showcase the delicious marriage between local beer and pork. Perhaps the typical pretzel necklace at beer festivals will soon be replaced by a bacon bracelet.
As the wife of a clammer, I am perpetually on the lookout for clam recipes. I have perfected several over the years: Long Island clam chowder, white clam sauce and baked clams, in particular.
