November may seem a long way away, but mark your calendar anyway for Long Island Restaurant Week, Sunday November 2 up to and including Sunday November 9 and start planning where you want to take advantage of the $27.95 three-course prix fixe deals in hundreds of restaurants around the island. And, if you own a restaurant, now is the time to consider signing up your establishment and introducing yourself to thousands of potential new customers during the pre-holiday lull.

Yoga, Farmstand and Live Music: Sunday, August 3, Events at Restoration Farm

There is a full farm day on the docket at Restoration Farm on the grounds of Old Bethpage Village Restoration this Sunday, August 3, starting with yoga in the fields at 10 a.m., the farm stand is open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and lastly live outdoor music by the Long Island Bluegrass Quartet at the Tin House (open mic begins at 2 p.m. and concert at 3 p.m.).
