Even in the pandemic, Love Lane Kitchen, in Mattituck, remains a cozy go-to for comfort food. You may not be able to eat inside right now (a heated patio is available for those who wish to dine anywhere but their homes), but you can still eat well. With new promotions and old standards, Love Lane Kitchen offers the deliciousness you need any time of year.
New to the line up is the restaurant’s Monday burger night. For $15, you can get your choice of beef, turkey, black bean, or lamb burger, served with a choice of draft beer. The restaurant is also offering a “build-your-own bowl” option. Choose between a base of grains and greens (spinach, mesclun, faro, quinoa, lentils, and kale), two “goodies” (roasted butternut squash, roasted sweet potatoes, Kalamata olives, red and yellow bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, shredded carrots, celery, chickpeas, hard-boiled egg, cheddar cheese, blue cheese, feta, and goat cheese), protein (chicken, steak, shrimp, tuna, salmon, and avocado), and dressing (balsamic vinaigrette, green goddess, and cilantro lime).
Another exciting addition to Love Lane Kitchen’s recent repertoire are their online cooking classes. For $80, you get a lesson for two people, accessible from wherever you happen to be. All the ingredients for vegetable risotto are included. Online, you can choose which day you’d like to participate and when you’d like to pick up your kit. The class includes basic knife stills, tips, and instructions, as well as aborio rice, fresh vegetables, fresh herbs, shallots, garlic, butter, Parmesan cheese, homemade vegetable stock, and a bottle of Social Club white wine.
But there’s also the regular menu, which is plenty drool-worthy. Lemon ricotta pancake stacks. Cuban sandwiches, with roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and a garlic spread served on ciabatta. Maine lobster rolls—served cold—with celery and mayonnaise on brioche, served with herb French fries. Coconut bundt cake with coconut icing. And even an apple cider hot toddy.
So you can bundle up and grab your meal outside, or you can get your breakfast, lunch, or dinner to go and cozy up at home. No matter what you decide, Love Lane Kitchen is here, just like always, to make mealtime a little bit more delicious.
