Three-Year Anniversary Party at 1940’s Brewing

When: September 14
Where: 1940’s Brewing Company in Holbrook

Yes, another local brewery is hosting an anniversary party! (Sure, you’ve probably already been to a few over the past few weeks, but hey, why not attend another?) This weekend, 1940’s Brewing Company is celebrating its third year in business! Expect special beer releases and casks during the party — and of course, what would an anniversary celebration be without some live music? 

 

Long Island Family Festival Pizza Eating Contest 2019

Where: Tanner Park in Copiague

How much do you like pizza? Enough to eat an entire pie in one sitting? The Annual Long Island Family Festival will be hosting the annual LI Family Festival Pizza Eating Contest, sponsored by Joe’s Pizza, on Sunday. Admission to the contest is free. Winners will receive a free T-shirt and more!

It’s that time of the year again. No, it’s not the holiday season yet (even though that’s around the corner — believe it or not). The world’s largest Volksfest, Oktoberfest begins in Munich at the end of September, but if you can’t afford the trip over the Atlantic, why not celebrate it at home?

Long Ireland Beer Company is hosting its 6th Annual Oktoberfest Party and Movie  Night next month! There will be German-inspired food available, a stein holding contest and more!  Free admission.
