Welcome to This Week on Long Island! A recurring series, This Week on Long Island rounds up the top food and beverage events for the week.
When: August 9, 10, 11
Where: Main Street in Sayville.
Typically drawing around 5,000 attendees each year, Sayville Summerfest will have rides, games, live music and—of course—food. There will be more than 200 craft and food vendors on hand. Oh, and if imbibing is your thing (which we’re sure it is), keep an eye open for the beer and wine tasting tent!
When: August 10.
Where: Heckscher State Park in East Islip.
The Long Island Craft Classic is back! Attendees will need the entire three hours to navigate hundreds of beers available from local, national and international craft breweries. Not a beer snob? Not a problem! Wine and hard cider will also be available. Your admission also includes a BBQ sandwich and side from the event’s caterer, Bobbique. Tickets are still available—for now.
When: August 12.
Where: Dublin Deck in Patchogue.
While the weather is still nice, enjoy some mussel and drink specials on the deck! Choose between red or white sauce for your half-priced mussels, and wash them down with some $5 Blue Moon drafts. Long Island’s very own Oogee Wawa will begin playing an acoustic set for guests at 6 p.m.
