Blue Point Brewery to Build New Patchogue Brewery

Exciting news from Blue Point Brewery: at an event yesterday in Manhattan, they announced plans to build a large new brewery in the Briarcliffe College building in Patchogue!

As you may have read back in December 2015, Briarcliffe College will close both of its campuses—in Bethpage and Patchogue—by the end of 2018. Blue Point Brewery plans to move into its Patchogue location by early next year. The new space has a 60,000-barrel capacity, representing a 400% increase to the brewery’s current capacity.

This is a huge win for both the brewery and the town it calls home. The new facility will feature a tasting room and restaurant, making it even more of a tourist destination than it is currently. The multi-million dollar project will also create more jobs for Patchogue.

To celebrate this exciting news, let’s take a look back at all of the amazing Blue Point Brewery content in our archives—from Niko Krommydas’s “Behind the Beer: Toasted Lager from Blue Point Brewing Company” to Alicia Valeo & Kevin Breslawski’s look at the brewery’s famous Cask Ales Fest.

Cheers!
