Craft Beer, Fare and Fair at Barrier Brewing

barrier beer 03 beer loves company

Barrier Brewing in Oceanside already gives visitors the option to drink and eat local. With an ever rotating list of beer brewed in house and tasty fish tacos and more cooked right outside at Poseidon’s Kitchen food truck, it’s a one stop shop for indulging. This Sunday, get ready to add shopping into the mix.

Barrier will be hosting it’s first ever craft fair from 12-6 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. The tasting room will still be open, so attendees can sample all Barrier has to offer while browsing. Ocean Spirit, LB Locals, Woodwork by Seb and our spice company, Crimson and Clove, will be the inaugural vendors.

Ocean Spirit is a clothing company run by identical twin sisters from Oceanside. Their designs are inspired by local beaches and 5 percent of all profits are donated to charities that protect sea life and oceans.

LB Locals also draws inspiration from our shores, which seems only fitting for another Long Island based business. However, they specialize in custom, handmade jewelry mixing everything from precious metals to sea glass and shells.

Woodwork by Seb has a name that pretty much speaks for itself. Owner and creator Sebastian will be there with some of his handcrafted woodworking, including one of a kind cutting boards.

Lastly, we will be there as Crimson and Clove with our small batch, hand packed spices and custom blends. If you’re not much of a chef, try our super simple quick pickle or make your own mustard kits.

For us, it’s always worth the trip out to Barrier Brewing simply for their wide variety of awesome beer. They are currently pouring a Grapefruit IPA, Smoked Dunkel, Brown Ale and plenty more, so there’s something for every palate. Not at all a bad atmosphere to get a little local shopping done.
