It’s that time again to head out east, pick some apples and celebrate with a bratwurst and a beer at the Cooperage Inn’s 17th annual fall festival. Located on Sound Avenue in Baiting Hollow, the Cooperage Inn has truly embraced the fall season with food, family and fun.
Every Saturday and Sunday until October 25, the Cooperage Inn will offer outside dining with a wide array of food choices including, bratwurst with slow-braised German sauerkraut, pulled barbecue pork, roasted corn, autumn harvest clam chowder, homemade potato pancakes, ribs, barbecue chicken, and crab cakes to name a few. Kid friendly food such as burgers, fries, chicken fingers and hot dogs are also available.
Enjoy a bratwurst with an iced cold beer. An outdoor bar features numerous craft beers including a fall favorite, pumpkin ale. Wine and a variety of liquors can be purchased as well.
Sit outside under an umbrella-covered picnic table, while listening to live music. Feel free to get up and dance! There is plenty for the kids to do on their newly expanded grounds. Pony rides are offered, as well as face painting and pumpkin painting. Visit with Elmo or play in the large hay playground, which will keep the little ones busy for a while. Don’t forget to pick up a candy apple or ice cream on your way out.
The festival runs every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., and on school holidays, Monday and Tuesday, Sept 14 and 15 and on Monday October 12.
