If you are free on Sunday, June 28 from 5-8 p.m., bring a dish to share (“As local as possible,” says organizer Bhavani Jaroff. “For about eight to 10 people.”), cups, utensils (“To cut down on waste.”), a tablecloth and your own wine or beer and get ready for some low-tech, high-value, rain-or-shine enjoyment.
Music will be provided by Josh Epstein and Craig Mehler, an outstanding young cello duo performing classical and improvisational pieces.
The suggested donation is $10 ($5 for members). While Slow Food North Shore supports many local school projects and growing initiatives, this event is not so much a fundraiser as a chance to hang out and relax in the time-honored convivial Slow Food way.
“It’s a chance just to get together,” says Jaroff. You can RSVP through the Facebook event page or call Bhavani Jaroff at 516.238.3616 for more information. Slow Food North Shore is also looking for volunteers to set up and clean up. Let them know if you can help out!
