Access To Capital: Free Event in Riverhead This Wednesday, June 24

AccessToCapital

Of all the challenges facing the food, beverage, agriculture, and fishing industries, the question of capital is one of the most difficult to answer, let alone solve. It is good news, then, that Empire State Development, NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Long Island Development Corporation are all co-sponsoring a free event in Riverhead this Wednesday, June 24, “Access to Capital: Food, Beverage, Agriculture, and Fishing Enterprises.”

The event will feature three panels — on traditional sources of capital, alternative sources of capital, and export financing and services — and will close with a Resource Expo that will allow attendees to meet individually with organizations to learn about their available resources and services. Attendees will also learn what types of financing are most appropriate to their needs, what lenders look for in potential borrowers, tips on improving their chances for success, and available opportunities and financing tools for expansion into international markets. And in a direct affront to the saying “there’s no such thing as a free lunch,” attendees will actually enjoy a free lunch — and continental breakfast, too.

The event—to be held at Suffolk Community College in Riverhead—will run from 9 .m.-1:30 p.m.. You can register to attend by clicking here.
