It’s really not that far away, our old friend spring. Daylight savings time starts March 8; that’s a week from Monday! It’s going to be light until 6 p.m. Think of it! While you’re at it, think about what the spring blooms look like at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River. Photographer Doug Young and editor at large Betsy Davidson did during bloom season last year and captured what we’ve all been looking forward to. For our upcoming Drinks Issue, which hits the streets April 1 (here’s how to subscribe to make sure you get a copy delivered to your door) Betsy had afternoon tea at the Hidden Oak Café inside the arboretum. The café reopens for the season on April 1. Make a reservation, bring a friend, or your mom and relax with the latest news about the food and drink scene on Long Island.
