RECIPE: Eintopf mit Wurst und Kraut

Eintopf mit Wurst und Kraut
2-3 each of krainerwurst, knackwurst, bauernwurst
¼ pound diced bacon
Splash or two of German beer
Add all ingredients to pot. Mix and let simmer for 15 minutes or until sausages and kraut are heated and bacon is cooked through.
Serve with a tall glass of cold German beer.
Serves 3 to 4.
*writer’s note: For crispier bacon: Prior to cooking, sauté diced bacon then set aside, leaving fat in the pan. Sauté kraut and sausages in pan with bacon fat. Prepare recipe as directed but adding the crisp bacon toward the end.
