Earlier this summer, and just days apart, Long Island wine country lost two of its own, Ann Marie and Marco Borghese. The proprietors of Castello di Borghese Vineyards in Cutchogue, Ann Marie and Marco were newcomers to the wine industry when they purchased Long Island’s first vineyard, Hargraves Vineyard, from the Hargraves in 1999. Over the next 15 years, they poured their hearts and souls into every bottle of wine they produced, earning the respect of their peers.
