A Little Girl’s Big Fight

This Saturday June 17 at Momo’s Sports Bar in Holbrook, come down and support Team Julia, a charitable group benefiting the continued fight of 10-year-old Julia, a local girl who has been battling acute part B lymphoblastic leukemia since diagnosed at the mere age of seven.

The event, titled Kick the Beast, will coincide with Momo’s Annual Block Party which, this year, will celebrate their five-year anniversary. The day long party, which kicks off at noon will feature live music, food and drink specials, a wing eating contest, raffles and prizes and a pro-wrestling match with all proceeds going to Team Julia.

Julia’s family’s Facebook page allows followers to take this journey with them, with updates on Julia’s condition, which include spiked fevers, bed-side birthdays, and photos of this beautiful little girl as she’s fighting the big fight and working hard to kick the beast: cancer.

Her story has intrigued her followers to help, including Momo’s owner Rich Comunala, who merged his sports bar’s anniversary party with this fund-raiser. Other businesses have donated gift cards, services and goods to be raffled off at the event. Music by Poparazzi will entertain the crowds, but not before some local tough guys take to the wrestling ring.

Pro Wrestlers King Mega, Stockade, Alvin Alvarez, Braydon Knight and many more will be doing their thing, all in good fun, and all for a great cause. “What better way to help Julia kick the beast than by kicking a little butt in the ring.” says Pro Wrestler Braydon Knight, who pulled his wrestling family together to help Julia. “I’ve always put others before myself, and after hearing Julia’s story, I was on board one hundred percent to help raise money and support for her big fight!”
