UPDATE: The event has been postponed. We’ll let you know the new date as soon as it has been rescheduled.
The family-friendly fare served up at a favorite Kings Park restaurant is being kicked up a notch: each month Relish will be presenting a weekend long collaboration with local breweries, wineries and farms.
For January — the weekend of the 25th and 26th — the partner is Holbrook-based SpiderBite Beer Company. After normal business hours on Saturday night, Relish will reopen for a “Tap Takeover” when SpiderBite’s beers will be poured exclusively, including a brown ale specially brewed for this event. Local reggae band Roots & Radicals will play and chef Steve Cardello’s late nights snacks will be served. Doors open at 9:30 p.m.; there is a $10 cover fee.
On Sunday, Cardello will present his first beer dinner: six courses paired with a Spider Bite beer for $100, which includes tax and tip. “SpideBite’s beers are fresh, balanced, and well crafted,” says Cardello. “Everything they brew is food friendly.”
