The Long Island Arts Alliance’s Arts Alive LI Festival evokes images of visual and performing arts. Thankfully they did not neglect an art form that is near and dear to our hearts (and bellies)…culinary arts!

On Thursday, October 24 at 6 p.m., the festival sets the stage at Roots Bistro Gourmand (399 Montauk Highway, West Islip) for a six-course locally inspired fall feast. Our friends, chefs James Orlandi and Philippe Corbet, have given us a sneak peek at the menu, which highlights the tastes of the fall season. Each course, at this limited-seating dinner (call to make reservations at 631.587.2844) will be matched with our best local wines and beers, which are included in the $100 per person price.  This promises to be a warm and sumptuous gastronomic event. Bon Appétit!
