It is a good thing Mother Nature has given us a reprieve from the onset of fall, as summer is back and so is one more taste of summer. On Wednesday, October 2, from 3 to 6 p.m. (just about when the thermometer hits 80 degrees), Whole Foods Market in Lake Grove is throwing Edible Long Island a little welcoming event and there will be ice cream, specifically, Joe & Liza’s All Natural Ice Cream. Come by for a sweet, creamy and cool sample of some of the most scrumptious ice cream available, made right here on Long Island with local ingredients.
College sweethearts, Joe and Liza Tremblay are the proprietors of one of the East End’s most popular and family-friendly eateries, Bay Burger, in Sag Harbor. Locals have been savoring their burgers, salads, locally produced beer and wine and their own store-made ice cream since 2007. Now, their legendary ice cream is being made available to we up-islanders for the first time at Whole Foods Markets.
Stop in, say hi, pick up our launch issue of Edible Long Island and savor one more taste of summer sweetness. Thank you, Mother Nature.
