Come celebrate a dream 20 years in the making: the inaugural tapping and kickoff of Barrage Brewing Company. Founder Steve Pominski has been making beer at home for almost as many years as it takes to drink legally. To satisfy his fans, he built a bar in his garage. Hence the name: Barrage, a bar in a garage.

To become a professional, Pominski used Kickstarter to raise $18,000 and is building a brewery and tasting room in East Farmingdale that is set to open on Sunday, January 26. The first growler fills will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. Though the beer is flowing, the growler shipment has yet to arrive, so please bring your own.

Steve is an all around nice guy, let’s show some support and enjoy some local beer!

Come join Steve’s celebration of Barrage’s very first beers Friday, January 31, at Morrison’s in Plainview from 6 to 11 p.m.
